What is a virtual or invisible fence?

an area. These lines are now your invisible fence. They are not physically present - but should function like a normal, traditional fence.
A virtual fence registers whether users "jump over" and then notifies the mobile application of this deviation.

How does the fence know that someone is leaving the area?

In order for the virtual fence to work, it must communicate with Beehive's smart vests. The smart vests are an upgrade of the traditional reflective vests that kindergartens already use on trips today.

The sensor in the vest can be removed to wash the vest.

What if the child takes off the vest?

This issue is not unique to Beehive. This must, as today, be discovered by employees who are present with the children. We do not replace routines that are already well established.

Privacy (GDPR)

We take privacy and digital integrity seriously.

All data is anonymous. The only thing we register is location data, which is not linked to the user. We have a clear processing basis and the anonymised data is deleted within a reasonable time.

Question 6

Can the parents follow along?

Accepted Answer

No.

Beehive is a tool for the staff in the nursery. The purpose is not to actively follow the movements of the vests. The vests are smart for the fence to work.

Question 7

False security?

Accepted Answer

Beehive is not a replacement but an addition. The routines that exist today remain unchanged. We use to say that you don't remove your seat belt just because you have an airbag. It is not the app that looks after the children, we give the employees more room to do just that by increasing the interaction between children and adults.

Question 8

What if the vests run out of power?

Accepted Answer

The battery life should optimally be able to be used for up to five trips before they need charging. Beehive's innovative charging solution ensures that the vests are fully charged and ready for use on any trip!

- LED lights on the vest should indicate battery status and any error messages. 
- The mobile application also shows the status of the vests in order to best prevent complications on the trip. If a vest has a fault or is out of power, you will be notified of this.

Will this replace employees?

There are laws and regulations that determine how many employees you must have per child. 
In the event of illness or absenteeism, substitutes must be called in as usual.

Beehive is not an employee, but a tool. We emphasize that the same routines will continue today.
